Construction General Permit Panel Discussion: Common Misunderstandings

This session continues the popular CGP Ask the Regulator series and provides an interactive opportunity for conference attendees to meet and engage with Regional Water Board staff responsible for construction site enforcement. The session will be led off by two or three short presentations by Water Board staff on things they see when reviewing monitoring data, inspecting projects during construction and inspecting projects prior to approving the Notice of Termination. The Water Board staff will provide insights on problems and challenges common to many project sites. The overview presentations will be followed by an extended question and answer session. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions about CGP challenges and interpretations to get the perspective of inspector from several regions. This panel session is designed to be highly interactive and provide the participants with an opportunity to interact directly with inspectors.

Sandy is an Associate with Larry Walker Associates, managing their office in Berkeley California. She has more than 22 years of experience in developing and implementing water quality and storm water compliance programs. Sandy assists various public agency clients with the construction stormwater programs and led the effort to update CASQA’s Construction BMP handbook in 2009. Working and working with CASQA and the State Water Board in 2009, Sandy led the team that developed the curricula for the QSD/QSP training program. Sandy is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and a Qualified SWPPP Developer and Practitioner, and a CGP Trainer of Record.
