Out with Old - In with New - Improving the Next CGP

Date / Time:
Wednesday, Sep 17 1:20pm to 4:10pm
Grand Ballroom G
Track / Session:

When the CGP expires in a few months what will replace it? Have a voice in describing what has worked and what has not worked in the present CGP enabling the next Permit to be improved without adverse impacts.

This Session explores what has been learned from the present Construction General Permit which is due to expire September 2014, and how to make it work more effectively. The SWB has been receptive in discussing modifications that will make the subsequent CGP more workable. This 90 minute session is comprised of three sections. The first is a summary of the issues under review. The second session will be representatives from various stake holder groups discussing their perspectives including: the building industry, contractors, regulated community, and NGOs. The last session is audience input. Cell phone chats to the moderator will be reviewed by the moderator for comment by the stake holder group. The entire session will be recorded and presented to the SWB for consider and implementation in the next CGP. It is important that all the “unanticipated consequences” are made known for improvement in the next Permit.
