Description/Abstract:

The purpose of my presentation will be to inform interested stakeholders about addressing Numeric Action Levels (NALs) and NAL exceedance requirements in the Industrial General Permit (IGP). State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) staff, California Stormwater Quality Association and the Industrial General Permit Training Team have developed and will deploy the Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner (QISP) training program on May 1st , 2016. As a State Water Board IGP staff member working on the implementation of the IGP, I will be able to answer questions about the implementation of Exceedance Response Actions and describe the roles of a QISP accordingly to interested participants. The this topic will be a point of interest in coming months as dischargers will be entering Level 1 status July 1st, 2016. Information about the QISP training program, electronic reporting requirements, and implementation will be incorporated into the discussion/presentation when describing compliance requirements.
