Online via Zoom. After completing this course, you will be able to take the QSP and/or QSD exam online (pay a separate fee to the State on your own schedule). This course meets and exceeds the minimum required training. 15 hours of content typically during day 1 & 2 for QSPs and QSDs. Day #3 for QSDs-only brings total training hours to beyond 20.

Course Developer, David Franklin, is a nationwide presenter and award-winning landscape professional with over 40 years of experience in the Green Industry, including 25 years in the erosion control and water quality sectors. His has worked on stormwater issues as a consultant, specifier, SWPPP writer/manager, contractor and inspector on projects including vineyards, mines & quarries, river restoration, freeway & railroad and home construction.
In 2001, Mr. Franklin became an Approved Instructor for the CPESC Review and Exam presentation; helping to organize CPESC events and proctoring exams for groups and individuals in western states. In 2009, Mr. Franklin first delivered the CESSWI Review Course and Exam.
Mr. Franklin has helped develop and deliver numerous stormwater classes to the public and private sector including Caltrans personnel in Design, Construction and Landscape Architecture divisions, and the 24hr Caltrans stormwater course to contractors working on Caltrans’ projects. Other courses include topics such as BMPs, Sampling and Compost-based BMPs.
