QSP/QSD ONLINE TRAINING with EnviroTech NPDES Services

Online via Zoom. After completing this course, you will be able to take the QSP and/or QSD exam online (pay a separate fee to the State on your own schedule).

Two Trainers of Record approved via the State Water Board process will deliver your course.
David Franklin and Jerry Pitt have over 70 years combined experience in water quality and environmental issues. They keep it interesting over 2-3 days of training by tag-teaming the presentations. Course Developer, David Franklin, is a nationwide presenter and award-winning landscape professional with over 40 years of experience in the Green Industry, including 25 years in the erosion control and water quality sectors. His has worked on stormwater issues as a consultant, specifier, SWPPP writer/manager, contractor and inspector on projects including vineyards, mines & quarries, river restoration, freeway & railroad and home construction.
In 2001, Mr. Franklin became an Approved Instructor for the CPESC Review and Exam presentation; helping to organize CPESC events and proctoring exams for groups and individuals in western states. In 2009, Mr. Franklin first delivered the CESSWI Review Course and Exam.
Mr. Franklin has helped develop and deliver numerous stormwater classes to the public and private sector including Caltrans personnel in Design, Construction and Landscape Architecture divisions, and the 24hr Caltrans stormwater course to contractors working on Caltrans’ projects. Other courses include topics such as BMPs, Sampling and Compost-based BMPs.

Past Chapter President of the California Landscape Contractors Association.
Past Executive Officer for the Western Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association.
Various articles published on topics ranging from erosion control to native grass establishment.

In his spare time, David plays with his band the Hillwilliams at private and public events, tends to the chickens, veggies, honeybees and plays handball like a maniac.

Jerry volunteers as a tutor to students in math and other subjects and volunteers in the local San Diego watershed. With his son, Josh he builds bluebird boxes, which are available at the neighborhood farmer’s market and sometimes given free to enrollees.

About the trainer: Jane Ledford has over 30 years of experience. She has worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RB), San Diego Region. She conducted her first construction storm water training class in 1999 while working for the RB. She is a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality and Certified in Wetlands Identification and Delineation from the USACOE and the Wetlands Training Institute.
