Four scenarios of use for the Effectiveness Assessment Online Database include:
Example 1: I am interested in evaluating metals.
Set Filters as follows:
- Set POC/COC filter to “Metals.”
- Set Source filter to “all.”
- Set BMP filter to “all.”
Results will automatically update to identify tools that can be used to evaluate metals under various source and BMP implementation scenarios.
Example 2: I am interested in evaluating the effect of street sweeping on sediment.
Set Filters as follows:
- Set POC/COC filter to “Sediment.”
- Set Source filter to “All.”
- Set BMP filter to “street sweeping.”
Results will automatically update to identify tools that can be used to evaluate sediment conditions impacted by street sweeping.
Example 3: I am interested in evaluating the collective impact of source controls on any and all POCs/COCs.
Set Filters as follows:
- Set POC/COC filter to “All.”
- Set Source filter to “All.”
- Set BMP filter to “SC – All source controls (collective).”
Results will automatically update to identify tools that can be used to evaluate implementation of all source controls collectively. Note, the impact on POCs/COCs cannot be discerned by individual source controls through these tools and methodologies.
Example 4: I am interested in evaluating all POCs/COCs that are generated from Commercial land uses.
Set Filters as follows:
- Set POC/COC filter to “All.”
- Set Source filter to “Commercial.”
- Set BMP filter to “All.”
Results will automatically update to identify tools that can be used to evaluate commercial land uses for pollutant generation and loading as well as the potential implementation of various BMPs.
