About the Construction BMP Handbook
The Construction BMP Handbook (Handbook) provides practical and industry leading resources to support implementation of the 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP) issued by the State Water Resources Control Board. The handbook includes Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) templates and field logs for traditional projects and linear underground projects (LUP), templates for dewatering and passive treatment plans, BMP Fact Sheets (English and Spanish), and other resources.
CASQA updates the Handbook periodically based on feedback from the CASQA BMP Handbooks Subcommittee to reflect new and evolving regulatory and industry information, and to continuously improve the experience for our subscribers. Purchasing or renewing an annual subscription assures that you have access to the latest version of the handbook, including updates and new resources as they become available.
Major updates were made in 2023-2025 to incorporate requirements and support implementation of the 2022 CGP. Appendix E in the 2025 Handbook presents a record of all updates and changes made to the Handbook since it was first published in 2019.

- Subscriptions are valid for one year from the date of purchase or renewal.
- Subscriptions are available for individuals (CASQA members and non-members) as well as for organizations CASQA members only).
- Purchasing a BMP handbook subscription does not include CASQA membership.
- CASQA membership does not include BMP Handbook subscriptions, however CASQA members receive a substantial discount on BMP handbook subscriptions and renewals. Learn more about becoming a CASQA member to take advantage of discounted rates.
- You can create a pre-purchase invoice if you need one for your internal purposes. Subscriptions are purchased online by credit card. Check payments are accepted only by special request and CASQA pre-approval.

Renew Your Subscription
To renew your handbook, simply log in to your My Account page and select the Renew link to the right of the product under the Orders tab. If your subscription has expired click the Repurchase link. You’ll receive reminders via email when it’s time to renew, so you won’t lose access to the handbook.
