Regulatory Engagement
CASQA represents stormwater and engages with the various state and federal agencies whose regulatory actions impact stormwater management, such as EPA, the California Water Boards, Department of Toxics Substances Control, Department of Pesticide Regulation, and Department of Water Resources.
Our regulatory engagement is guided by and aligned with our Vision for Sustainable Stormwater Management. Each year, CASQA develops and submits comment letters and testimony on a wide-range of regulatory issues (2021-2022). In addition, CASQA works proactively and in partnership with many agencies to develop and implement solutions for high priority issues, such as reducing aquatic toxicity through the regulation of pesticides.
Subcommittee
The Policy and Permitting Subcommittee meets monthly to discuss regulatory and policy related topics. This subcommittee is available to CASQA members and is an excellent membership benefit. Engagement is highly encouraged.
