CASQA Program Manager Recruitment

The California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Program Manager. This pivotal role supports the organization’s efforts to advance sustainable stormwater management protective of California’s water resources, through collaboration, education, and advocacy.

Under the direction of, and in collaboration with the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director, Program Managers serve as the strategic lead in the development, implementation, and management of programs and initiatives that advance CASQA’s Strategic Plan and Vision for Sustainable Stormwater Management. They support CASQA’s various subcommittees, comprised of engaged volunteer leaders and CASQA members, and represent CASQA by working with partner organizations. Projects and initiatives vary and include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

The position requires the ability to lead and work independently, while also working in close collaboration with a variety of members, partners, and staff. The position is fully remote, though the individual must reside in California.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. They excel at developing, managing, and optimizing programs to align with CASQA’s strategic priorities. The candidate has experience collaborating with and leading stakeholder groups, developing and producing original work products, and ensuring that programs are executed on time and within budget. They are skilled at evaluating and adjusting program goals and budgets to ensure effectiveness and alignment with overarching objectives.

This individual is adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, association members, and partner organizations. They have the ability to articulate and communicate CASQA’s strategic priorities to diverse audiences. Proactive and self-motivated, they can balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, often with minimal oversight, while producing high-quality written and verbal communication that reflects the organization’s standards of excellence.

Strategic Program Management: Develop, implement, and optimize programs aligned with organizational goals.
Budget and Resource Management: Oversee budgets, recommend adjustments, and ensure financial alignment with program objectives.

Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and manage teams, consultants, and volunteer leaders to achieve program outcomes.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate strategic priorities and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Producer: Consistently generates and delivers original work products that are outcome focused and uphold CASQA’s standard of excellence.

Policy and Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of stormwater management, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends to guide program initiatives.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Evaluate programs, analyze data, and recommend solutions in alignment with CASQA’s Strategic Plan.

Organizational and Time Management: Handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs under dynamic conditions.

Annual salary of $100,000 – $150,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience, plus a benefits package that includes:
