Palm Springs Area and the Convention Center

Palm Springs, California lies on the western edge of the Coachella Valley, within the Colorado Desert, and sits at the base of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, visible from anywhere in the valley. The Palm Springs Convention Center and the adjacent Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel are walkable to downtown and are just 2.3 miles from the Palm Springs International Airport and about 70 miles from the Ontario airport. Palm Springs is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Los Angeles and just over 2 hours from San Diego.

With the San Jacinto Mountains protecting Palm Springs from the coastal weather, the area enjoys over 350 days of sunshine per year with average temperatures in October of 91°F high / 65°F low. Come early or stay after the conference to take advantage of nearby attractions and activities for all ages including the Living Desert Zoo, Moorten Botanical Garden, 110 local golf courses, multiple museums, as well as strolling and shopping in downtown Palm Springs. Or take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and enjoy spectacular vistas of the valley floor below during the 10-minute journey, and from the Mountain Station at elevation 8,516 feet. Upon arrival you can also take in the natural history museum, two documentary theaters, and over 50 miles of hiking trails.
